1999 s80 2.9 non turbo. Here is what I do have, spark, fuel at the rail (i can hear pump prime also), car turns over (tach doesn't jump), battery voltage fine, belt and cam sprockets are turning. ...

from what I can see the fluid looks ok, looks like it still has a red tint to it. Did you just have the fluid changed? what about the filter?

I just changed my fluid and filter in my s80. Filter kit at auto zone for about 17 bucks. 2 gallons of atf from walmart for 20 bucksand it works fine. In the owners manual it calls for volvo fluid or...

P1550 code, any suggestions?

car is throwing a P1550 code, speed sensor, idle control etc. I believe all this is pointing back to the abs module which has gone bad. Will having the abs unit rebuilt fix this code?

just have them reset the codes and go from there. mine came on after a new battery, had them reset the code and all was fine.

You could definitely try 89, especially if you don't do alot of aggressive driving. If you try a lower octane and hear excessive pinging or notice power loss (computer retarding timing), then go back...

Give it a tune up, keep your foot out of it, and clean the mass air meter. I would probably return the K&N if it was me, those things are notorious for having excess oil on them that gets on the mass...
