The gas mileage on my 2000 Volvo S80 is about 20 for in town and 25-30 for highway, and that's with premium gas. You're getting some great gas mileage out of your car! :D

If my memory serves me right, I believe that the position light is your rear brake light. It can be difficult to see though so look very closesly. What I did is I replaced all the bulbs for the rear...

I have never had my tires rub when the wheel is locked, but that wheel well is pretty tight so it would surprise me if it did happen on some tires. ;)

I too have noticed that my Volvo doesn't have the greatest range for FM radio. I always assumed it had to do with antenna placement but I suppose their may be some tweaks that could help. :D

I had the dealership do the work for me. The total came out to around $870 when it was all said and done. Doing the timing belt is a very labor intensive job, there's no way around it. That $870 also...

There's something wrong with your power steering. Take it in and have a mechanic check it out for you. It could be any number of things (Power Steering Fluid, Pump or the whole system!) so find out...

Change your timing belt, tensioner and idler pulley. I changed all of that on my 2000 S80 and it only has 67,000 miles on it. I would rather spend the $800 than have what happened to lw1668 happen to...

The ETM is the Electronic Throttle Module. They have been known to cause some issues from time to time, I personally haven't had any problems with my ETM except for the software upgrade. Beyond that...

Ouch! Sounds like the previous owner didn't maintain the car well at all. You've got yourself a lemon, I would look into pursuing the lemon laws in your state and getting a refund. ;)
