using jack stands on a 98 V70 XC
I am attempting to diagnose a rear wheel/brake problem. A friend loaned me his hydralic jack and 2 jack stands.
The 98 V70 XC has a specific jack attachment in front of the rear wheel. The hydralic jack fits into the round cup of this jack attachment and lifts securely.
However, when I use the hydralic jack to lift I am left with no room to place the stationary jack stands.
The owners manual tells about other lift points including:
Lifting the rear of the car by the wheel well sounds easy but doesn't look strong enough to lift the whole back of the car.
Does another have a good solution to using a hydralic jack and jack stands?

A garage jack can also be placed under the front of the engine support frame and under the reinforced plate in the spare wheel well.
