Default Resetting Scheduled Maintenance Warning

I just got my oil changed by someone other than the dealer and they did not reset the maintenance dummy light. Anyone know the trick to reset it?

thanks,
Patrick

Do a search in the S80 or S60 section and follow instructions.

They are the same as yours.

Default RE: Resetting Scheduled Maintenance Warning

I ran into the same problem, but I actually had brought my '05 XC90 into a Volvo dealer shortly before the 15,000 mile check up. They forgot to reset the message and two weeks after my visit the light started coming on.

I finally called the service center to see if there was a way for me to reset it or if I needed to bring it back in. They informed me to do the following:

1. Put your key in the ignition and turn to the first position.
2. Hold down the trip reset button - DO NOT LET GO!
3. Turn the key to the second position while continuing to hold the trip set button.
4. After a couple seconds you should see the orange triangle warning light flash off and on quickly a couple times.
5. Let go of the reset button and press once.
6. If it works correctly, the trip set should go back to the miles you initially had before you started the process and the warning light and message should be gone.

Note - this took me a couple tries to get it to work - you have to wait until you see the warning light flash repeatedly.

Good luck.

Same as MN_XC90

but after key position one, push button, key on, I believe you hold until both triangle flashes and/or the service indicator will flash that is when you let go and start the car to see if it it reset. The trip computer one, sometimes after you do the procedure the door open note will sound.

When you say “trip reset button†do you mean the “reset†button on the turn signal lever or the trip button in the instrument cluster?

Default resetting C30 2007 "routine servicing" text message

USED MN_XC90 7/14 POST REGARDING RESETTING THE TEXT.

It worked fine after the 3rd attempt on my 2007 2.0d C30 and on my neighbours XC90 2007. The trip reset had to be held down for 10 secs before position 2 on the key or it wouldnt reset.Instead of the warning light flashing the car beeped once, then key to position 2
Saved giving Volvo £73.00 !!.

Default Resetting for next maint

Will the system now display the maintenance light when the next service is due (oil change after another 7500 miles)? Or do I need to put my own reminder on a sticker somewhere?

I followed the directions and I achieved the goal in two tries.
Thank you very much.

Default Resetting seatbelt warning message

I pulled my radio and climate control unit to try repair my intermittent fan speed selector dial and when I put it back now have a seatbelt warning massage that I want cleared. Does anyone know how this can be done or do I need to get a VIDA or something. Dealer wanted $200 along with replacing seatbelt parts which don't need replacing just because I pulled the radio/climate control unit.
