High beams coming on when I turn blinker on

Default High beams coming on when I turn blinker on
Any idea what this could be? Been happening on my 2002 s60 since yesterday. Every time I go to make a turn on and turn on my turn signal the high beams come on.

did you spill something or spray anything on your steering wheel? particularly near the blinker lever?

Should I get the turn signal switch replaced? There are no volvo mechanics in my town where I live, so haven't been able to ask a mechanic around here.

Well, electricity will always seek the path of least resistance. I would start at the turn signal ground connection at the bulb.

Didn't spill anything. I should of updated this, but I replaced the turn signal switch and it is fine now.
