Default 760 turbo oil drain pipe


o well things can,t always go as planned three exhaust manifold studs sheared of dispite me having put plenty of plus gas on them over the last two or three days wish i had a blowtorch presume i will have to have the head of now to get them machined out also i overlooked the oil drain pipe from the turbo and have pulled it out of the block and can,t quite work out how it is held in place at the block end looks as if it just pushes in anyone know thanks

On the bottom of the pipe is an o-ring.Yes it just pushes into the block make sure you use a new o-ring so you don't develop an oil leak after you get it back together.Put a little bit of grease on the hole in the block then push the pipe in.

Thanks for that tech it was a real worry as i could not figure out if there would be any back pressure there if it is just a drain then a push fit will suffice am going to pull the head as it does not seem to be to complicated and will make the removal of the stud easier i have already tried to drill it out but cannot keep the drill central enough so will pull the head and take it to be machined out with more precision
any tips for removal of the head anything to watch out for thanks again

Nothing really to look out for it is pretty straight foward.It might take you a couple of hours to do.Do you know where the timing marks are on the covers and pulleys?If not let me know and I will explain.
